EXPERIENCE
One of the principal founders and owners of Hayes Commercial Group, Francois relies on significant experience and expertise in both sales and leasing of large-scale office and R&D properties. Francois is extremely well versed in the representation of both tenants and landlords and brings a unique corporate focus to the Hayes Commercial team. In fact, he currently represents several of Santa Barbara's publicly-traded firms and was involved in the 2nd largest office sale and the largest office lease ever recorded on the South Coast. In total, Francois has represented clients in more than 700 commercial transactions, totaling over 6.3 million square feet, and valued at more than $770 million.
Francois has been a significant player in the Santa Barbara commercial real estate community since 1991. DeJohn brings a unique ability to effectively communicate to both corporate and local clients using sophisticated financial analysis and proprietary market research.

- General Growth Properties: sale of 32,000 sf, two-acre corporate office building.
- Santa Barbara Corporate Center: 232,000 sf office development, sale, and lease.
- Venoco Inc: lease of 51,000 sf corporate office as well as multiple other office spaces in the region.
- Somera Communications, Inc.: lease of 100,000 sf distribution center in Oxnard.
- Somera Capital - Santa Barbara: 60,000 sf office development and lease deal.
- Santa Barbara Bank & Trust: lease of 103,000 sf corporate office building.
- Rockwood Capital: lease of 105,000 sf R&D / manufacturing property.

EDUCATION
Francois' educational background is also firmly entrenched in the Santa Barbara community. He graduated summa cum laude in Business Economics from University of California at Santa Barbara, where he played intercollegiate soccer.
